1. raw rice-1 cup
  2. bella powdered(jagerry)-11/2 cup
  3. fresh grated coconut-1/2 holu
  4. salt-1/2 tsp
  5. ellakki podwer -a pinch

refined oil for deep frying


  1. soak rice for 1 hour
  2. grind it to a smooth paste,add coconut and again grind it
  3. add jagerry,salt and grind everything to a smooth batter.add ellakki powder and mix well

method for making yeriyappa

  1. heat oil in a small kadai till moderately hot.
  2. using a small deep laddle,pour dough in the centre of the oil.
  3. when it comes up,gently turn over.
  4. fry till crisp,remove and drain off excess oil in a colander
