Vegetable Sabji( curry)
ingredients
- aloo( potatoes / alugedde)-2 medium
- carrot-2
- beans-1 cup(chopped into cubes)
- green peas-1 cup
- capsicum-2
- tomato-2
- onion-2
- salt -to taste
- curry and corriander leaves-few chopped
seasonings(oggarane)
- oil-2 tblsp
- sasivae-( mustard seeds)—1 tsp
- jeera( jeerige/cumin seeds)—1 tsp
- turmeric powder( haldi//arisina)-1/2 tsp
ingredients for grinding
- red chilles-8 to 10
- dhania seeds( coriander seeds)-1 tsp
- fresh coconut grated -2 tblsp
- dalchini( cinnamon)-1'' piece
- cloves (lavanga)-2
- onion-1
method
- boil vegetables,except onion,tomatoes
- grind the ingredients given for grinding together to a smooth paste.
- in a kadai,heat oil add the seasonings, when done add incurry leaves,ground masala .fry till good smell comes out of masala.
- now add finely cut onion,tomatoes fry well
- add boiled vegetables,add salt.boil well till you get the consistency
- serve with chapathi,poori,rotti,rice.
