Vegetable Sabji( curry)

ingredients

  1. aloo( potatoes / alugedde)-2 medium
  2. carrot-2
  3. beans-1 cup(chopped into cubes)
  4. green peas-1 cup
  5. capsicum-2
  6. tomato-2
  7. onion-2
  8. salt -to taste
  9. curry and corriander leaves-few chopped

seasonings(oggarane)

  1. oil-2 tblsp
  2. sasivae-( mustard seeds)—1 tsp
  3. jeera( jeerige/cumin seeds)—1 tsp
  4. turmeric powder( haldi//arisina)-1/2 tsp

ingredients for grinding

  1. red chilles-8 to 10
  2. dhania seeds( coriander seeds)-1 tsp
  3. fresh coconut grated -2 tblsp
  4. dalchini( cinnamon)-1'' piece
  5. cloves (lavanga)-2
  6. onion-1

method

  1. boil vegetables,except onion,tomatoes
  2. grind the ingredients given for grinding together to a smooth paste.
  3. in a kadai,heat oil add the seasonings, when done add incurry leaves,ground masala .fry till good smell comes out of masala.
  4. now add finely cut onion,tomatoes fry well
  5. add boiled vegetables,add salt.boil well till you get the consistency
  6. serve with chapathi,poori,rotti,rice.
