Vegetable Bhath


  1. rice-1 cup
  2. vegetables-capsicum,carrot,beans,alu,gori kayi,menthya soppu,,avare kallu(boiled),green peas(boiled)etc-3 to 4 cups
  3. oil-2 tblsps
  4. bhath pudi-2 tblsp
  5. salt to taste
  6. lemon-1 to2
  7. kobbari powder-3 tblsp
  8. curry leavss-few
  9. sugar-2 tsp


  1. mustard seeds(sasivae)-1 tsp
  2. jeera-1 tsp
  3. kadale belle(channadhal)-1 tblsp
  4. uddina belle(urad dhal)-1 tblsp
  5. turmeric powder-1 tsp


  1. cook rice,and let it cool( spread on broad bowl)
  2. heat oil in a kadai,add the seasonings one by one,fry,in low flame.
  3. add all the vegetables,curry leaves , fry for a while, close with the lid
  4. add sugar,also.
  5. when vegetables are cooked ,add bhath powder,kobbari powder,salt fry ,add lemon juice fry for a while
  6. add cooked rice mix well
