Tomato iruLi saaru(one type)
Ingredients
- tomato-4
- onion(irulli)-1
- fresh grated coconut-1/2 cup
- jeera-1/2tsp
- menasina pudi-3/4 tsp (saaru pudi or rasam powder)
- corriander leaves -few
- curry leaves -few
- bella(jagerry)-small nimbu size
- salt to taste
Method
- grind together onion,tomato,coconut,jeera, in mixy to a fine paste.
- take the ground paste in a kadai
- add menasina pudi,bella,salt add curry leaves ,corriander leaves
- add enough water and boil
- give oggarane(seasoning) in ghee
for oggarane(seasoning)
heat 2 tsp of ghee, in oggarane spoon (laddle)add sasivae(mustard seeds),jeera -1 tsp each 1 -pinch hing(asafotieda) after it splutters, pour over hot saaru
