Tomato Onion Bhath
ingredients
- tomatoes-4 to 5 (big ones)
- onion-5 to 6 (big ones)
- rice-1 paavu
- lavanga-4
- dalchini-2'' pieces
- jeera- 1 tblsp
- green chilles-2(slit length wise)
- ginger-garlic paste-1 tblsp
- red chilli powder-1 tsp
- garam masala powder- 1 tsp
- ghee- a little
- oil-2 to 3 tblsp
- water -1 1/4 paavu
method
- wash and soak rice for 10 minutes,strain it
- peel onions,and cut onions and tomatoes into small pieces
- heat oil in a pressure cooker,add jeera,lavanga,dalchini,
- then add ginger garlic paste,green chilles,and onions fry for a while add tomatoes,powder masalas,salt ,ghee.
- add water,when it starts boiling add rice
- close the cooker lid and cook till done or cook for 1 whistle
- remove the lid,and mix care fully and serve hot.
