Sweet pongal
Ingredients
- rice- 1 cup
- hesaru belle(moong dhal)-1/2 cup
- bella(jaggery)-1 1/2 cup
- water-1/2 cup
- drakshi- 1 tblsp
- godambi-1 tblsp
- ellaki powder-1/2 tsp
- ghee-1/4 cup
kesari-pinch
lavanga-2
method
- cook dhal and rice together in pressure cooker with 4 1/2 cups of water
- heat bella with water till it melts
- add cooked rice dhal to that in a medium flame
- add kesari and lavanga boil for few minutes
- heat ghee fry drakshi,godambi
- add to pongal mix add ellaki powder.
