sweet and sour vegetables
INGREDIENTS
- vegetable stock -2 cups
- maggie cubes-2
- capsicum-1
- carrot-1
- small piece of cucumber(cut into cubes)
- onion-1
- bamboo shoots(kalale)-1/4 cup(optional)
- oil-2 tblsp
- sugar-1/2 cup
- tomato sauce-5 tblsp
- soya sauce-1 tblsp
- vinegar-1/2 cup
- white pepper powder-1/2 tsp
- ajinomotto-1/2 tsp
- corn flour-21/2 tblsp
- water-1/4 cup
METHOD
- heat 2 tblsp of oil in a kadai,add the onions ,fry for 2 minutes
- add the vegetables,saute for a while.and keep
- in 2 cups of stock,add sugar,tomato sauce,soya sauce,vinegar,white pepper powder,ajinomotto,cook for 5 minutes.
- in 1/4 cup water dissolve corn flour and add to the above mixture.
- cook until thick
- add fried vegetables
- add cucumber slices remove and serve hot.
