spring rolls
INGREDIENTS
- corn flour-1/2 cup
- maida-1/2 cup
- milk-1/2 cup
- water-1/2 cup
- salt-1/2 tsp
METHOD
- mix all the above ingredients into a thin batter ,by adding more water (if needed).
- keep the batter for 1/2 hour or atleast for 10 minutes
- prepare pan cakes (dosa )
FILLING
- vegetables(carrot,cabbage,spring onions,ordinary onion)-finely cut
- ginger paste-1/2 tsp
- garlic paste-1/2 tsp
- green chilli paste-1/2 tsp(2 grren chillies)
- ajinomotto(chinese salt)-1/2 tsp
- salt- 1/2 tsp
- white pepper powder-1/2 tsp
- onion-1
- tomato sauce-1 tblsp
- vinegar-1 tblsp
- soya sauce-1 tsp
- oil-1 or 2 tblsp
METHOD
- heat oil in a kadai,add onion ,fry ,add ginger,garlic,green chilli paste,add all the vegetables,fry for a while.
- add tomato sauce,soya sauce,salt,pepper powder,cook till dry.
METHOD FOR MAKING ROLLS
- make thin dosas,sprinkle little maida on it ,so that it does"nt stick.
- cool it
- fill the vegetables filling,fold it using maida batter to seal the edges
- dip it in maida batter
- deep fry in hot oil till golden red colour
- cut slantly into 4 pieces and serve hot.
