Sponge Cake
ingredients
- self raising flour(maida sifted with 2 tsp of baking powder)-2 cups
- butter-2 cups
- powdered sugar-1 cup
- vanilla essence-1 tsp
- eggs-4
- salt-a pinch
temperature-190*c
method
- place butter ,sugar vanilla essence in a glass bowl,beat well until light and fluffy
- add eggs one by one,beating well after each addition
- sift maida ,salt ,and fold into egg mixture,beat well.
- pour the batter into a buttered and floured baking tin.
- bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake springs back when touched with fingertips
