Simae Akki Sabbakki Payasa

ingredients

  1. simae(sabbakki) akki-1/2 cup
  2. milk-2 cups
  3. water-1 cup
  4. sugar-1 cup
  5. ghee-2 tsp
  6. ellaki powder-1 pinch
  7. drakshi(raisins)-1 tblsp
  8. godambi(cashew nut)-1 tblsp
  9. kesari-pinch

method

  1. take sabbakki in a kadai add ghee fry for a while
  2. then add water and milk boil sabbakki till soft
  3. add sugar,kesari, boil till you get payasa consistency
  4. then add ellaki powder take out from flame
  5. add fried drakshi godambi mix well

variation

same method for "dhalia"(godi nuchhu).fry dhalia in ghee and rest is same as above
