Shyavigae Idli


  1. shavigae-1cup(fried)
  2. curd-1/4 lt
  3. godambi-10
  4. coconut-3 tblsp
  5. salt to taste
  6. green chilles-10
  7. curry and corriander leaves -hand full
  8. soda-1 tsp
  9. ginger-1'' piece
  10. jeera powder-1 tsp
  11. onion-2


oil-3 tblsp
sasivae-1 tsp
kadale and uddina belle-2 tblsp


  1. add curd to shavigae,
  2. add green chilles,onion,coconut,curry and corriander leaves, jeera powder,ginger (grated),salt,soda,mix everything well
  3. keep for 10 mins
  4. heat oil add sasivae,when it splutters add kadaleand uddina belle
  5. add seasoning to the above mixture and fried godambi also
  6. pour on a greased idli plates
  7. steam in a pressure cooker for 10 mins
