Sajjappa

ingredients

  1. chirrotti ravae-2 cup
  2. jaggerry powder-2 cup
  3. fresh grated coconut- 1 cup
  4. gagase-1 tsp(optional)
  5. ellakki powdre-1 tsp
  6. butter or dalda-1 to 2tsp

oil-for deep frying

method

  1. add little water and dalda to ravae and knead to a stiff dough
  2. knead well till it becomes soft and pliable
  3. mix coconut,jaggerry,and ellakki powder mix well
  4. make small balls out of the dough,flatten it,put the filling inside,close well and again roll out like "puris" and deep fry in hot oil
