pav bhaji

INGREDIENTS

  1. pavs-6
  2. butter-50 gms

PASTE

  1. garlic-12 pods
  2. red chillies-10(soak both garlic and chillies over night with 1/2 cup of water and ground to fine paste)

OTHER INGREDIENTS

  1. tomato puree-1 cup
  2. salt-1 tsp
  3. black pepper powder-1/4 tsp
  4. turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  5. pav bhaji masala-2 tblsp
  6. oil-2 tblsp
  7. jeera-1/2 tsp

vegetables

  1. patato-cooked and mashed -2 cups
  2. cooked green peas-1 cup
  3. capsicum chopped-1 cup
  4. gobi(cauli flower)-1/2 cup
  5. onions-4
  6. corriander leaves

METHOD

  1. roast the pavs with butter.
  1. heat 2 tblsp oil in a kadai,add jeere seeds,chopped onions,1 to 1/2 tsp sugar,garlic -chilli paste,keep frying.
  2. now add tomato puree,dry powders,and all the vegetables and salt,fry well
  3. mash it well at this stage.add 1/4 cup of water.
  4. add pinch of tandoori colour(optional)
  5. cook till thick,lastly add butter and take out

SERVING

  1. keep pavs in a plate ,keep the lemon cut,raw onions chopped and the bhaji and serve hot
