Paneer Makhani
This recipe is also called "Butter masala".
Ingredients
- paneer-250gms
- curds-1/2 cup
- butter-2tblsp
- fresh cream-100gms
- salt-to taste
- garam masala powder-1 tsp
- red chilli powder-1 or 2 tsp
- dhania powder-1 tsp
- jeera powder-1 tsp
- turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
- ghee or oil-2 tblsp
- corriander leaves or kasuri methi-for decoration
- green chillies-2 to 3 paste
- raw onion paste-1/4 cup
- cashew nut paste-1/4 cup
- ginger paste-1 tsp
- garlic paste-1 tsp
- tomato puree-1/2 cup
- sugar-1 tsp
Method
- cut the paneer into cubes and deep fry or shaloow fry in oil or ghee lightly.
- add curds mix well and keep aside.
- in a kadai,add ghee or oil,add onion paste,ginger-garlic paste saute for a while.
- add all dry powders and cook for a while.
- add tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes
- add cream,1/2 cup water,after some time add cashew paste,cook for 5 minutes.
- add paneer pieces,add butter and garnish with corriander or kasuri methi leaves.
