  1. besan (kadale hittu)-1 cup
  2. milk powder-1 cup
  3. sugar-2 cup
  4. ghee-1/2 cup
  5. oil or ghee-1 1/2 cup
  6. turmeric powder(haldi)-a big pinch
  7. cardamom powder(ellakki powder)-1 pinch


  1. in a vessel take sugar and add enough waterto soak sugar,boil to get a 1 thread paka
  2. in a seperate bowl mix besan,milk powder,1 1/2 cup oil to a smooth paste or batter.
  3. in a kadai,put the sugar syrup(strain for any dust)and add besan batter,keep on stirring till you get the frothy consistency
  4. at this stage add pure ghee little by little,then froth will be become more,add ellakki powder,haldi
  5. switch off the gas
  6. stir for 2 more minutes
  7. pour on to a greased plate
  8. after 2 minutes cut into pieces ,when its still hot
  9. let it cool completly,take out the pieces.and store.
