Majjige Huli
Ingredients
- kadale belle(channa dhal)-3 tblsp (soak in water for 1 hr)
- fresh grated coconut-1 cup
- green chilles-2 to 3
- Red chilli-1
- Ginger— small piece
- jeerigae(jeera)-1 tblsp
- dhaniya (corriander seeds)- 1/2 tblsp
- black pepper corn - 3 to 4
- haldi(turmeric)-1 tsp
- curd-3 to 4 cups
- vegetables that can be used
- soppu(greens)
- aloo
- hurali kayi(beans)
- kumbala kayi (ash gourd)
- gori kayi
- tondae kayi
- cucumber
- can add fried bendae kayi
Method
wash and cut vegetables,boil it till soft.
- grind the ingredients except curd and vegetables
- take boiled vegetable ,ground paste in a kadai, add salt .mix well.
- add in curd and boil well(can add little water if necessary) on medium heat
- add curry leaves , also.
- heat ghee in a oggarane spoon, once hot enough Add sasive (mustard seeds)and jeera after it splutters pour over majjige huli
