lemon cake
Ingredients
- maida-120 gms(1 cup-) heaped
- butter-100gms
- corn flour-1 tblsp
- salt-a pinch
- eggs-3
- powdered sugar-125 gms(3/4 cup)
- baking powder-3/4 tsp
- lemon peel-1 tsp
- lemon juice-1 tsp
- milk as required
- vanilla essence-few drops
- lemon essence-few drops
- yellow colour-1/4 tsp
Method
- sieve maida,baking powder,salt,corn flour thrice.
- cream butter and sugar to light and fluffy.
- add egg one by one along with essence and colour,lemon juice and lemon peel
- add maida little by little beating all the time
- add milk to get dropping consistency
- add cashew,badam pieces
- pour to a greased and dusted tin.
- bake at 180*c for 40 minutes in a pre heated oven
