lemon cake


  1. maida-120 gms(1 cup-) heaped
  2. butter-100gms
  3. corn flour-1 tblsp
  4. salt-a pinch
  5. eggs-3
  6. powdered sugar-125 gms(3/4 cup)
  7. baking powder-3/4 tsp
  8. lemon peel-1 tsp
  9. lemon juice-1 tsp
  10. milk as required
  11. vanilla essence-few drops
  12. lemon essence-few drops
  13. yellow colour-1/4 tsp


  1. sieve maida,baking powder,salt,corn flour thrice.
  2. cream butter and sugar to light and fluffy.
  3. add egg one by one along with essence and colour,lemon juice and lemon peel
  4. add maida little by little beating all the time
  5. add milk to get dropping consistency
  6. add cashew,badam pieces
  7. pour to a greased and dusted tin.
  8. bake at 180*c for 40 minutes in a pre heated oven
