Kayi Sasivae Gojju
ingredients
- fresh grated coconut (kayi turi)-4 to 5 tblsp or 1/2 cup
- green chilles-6
- sasivae(mustard seeds)-1/2 tsp
- huri gadale-1 tblsp
- hing-1 pinch
- haldi-1 pinch
- tamarind-lemon size(soaked in water)
- salt to taste
- bella(jagerry)-lemon size
- curry leaves-few
seasonings
- oil-1 tblsp
- sasivae-1tsp
- jeera-1/2 tsp
vegetables (one or mixed)
- semae badanae kayi
- cucumber
- mulangi (radish)
- pappya kayi
- gori kayi
- sihi kumbala kayi
- fried bendae kayi
- green badanae kayi
- carrot
- padavalakayi
method
- cut vevgetable into small pieces
- heat oil in a kadai add sasivae,jeera,curry leaves
- when splutters add the vegatable
- sprinkle little water and close the lid
- mean while grind coconut,green chilles,sasivae,hurigadale,hing,haldi, tamarind
- donot add much water while grinding (sprinkle water)
- add ground mix to boiled vegetables add salt,bella boil
