gobi manchuri


  1. gobi flowerets-1/2 kg
  2. finely chopped green chillies-10
  3. finely chopped ginger-1 piece
  4. finely chopped garlic-2 tblsp
  5. oil-2 tblsp
  6. ajinomoto-1 tsp
  7. white or black pepper-1 or 2 tsp
  8. fresh corriander or spring onions for garnishing

paste (mix and keep in a cup)

  1. red chilli paste-1 tsp or 1 tblsp
  2. soya sauce-2 tsp
  3. tomato ketchup-2 to 3 tblsp
  4. white vinegar-1 tsp
  5. ajinomoto-a big pinch
  6. white or black pepper powder-1/2 tsp
  7. salt-a pinch
  8. sugar-1 tsp
  9. tandoori colour-1/4 tsp


  1. blanch gobi and cool.
  2. add 5 tblsp corn flour,salt,pepper powder-1/2 tsp,ajinomoto-1/4 tsp,vinegar-1 or 2 tblsp(dry coating) mix with gobi flowerets.
  3. deep fry in hot oil till crisp
  4. heat 2 tblsp of oil,add ginger-garlic-greenchilli,saute
  5. add above paste,stir well,
  6. take 2 tblsp corn flour mix in 1/2 cup water,add ,cook till thick.
  7. add fried gobi toss well.
  8. garnish with spring onions and serve immediately.

blanching of gobi

keep lots of water with 1 tsp of salt,add gobi,cook for 2 minutes,keep in the same water for 5 minutes,take out and strain.
