Dhokla
ingredients
- bengal gram flour( besan// kadale hittu)-1 cup
- ginger-paste==1 tsp
- green chilles-5(paste)
- turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
- sour thick curd-1/2 cup
- eno's fruit salt-1 tblsp in 2 tblsp of water (or add 1tsp soda,1-tsp sugar,1/2 tsp citric acid , oil-2 tblsp to 1 cup water)
- salt-to taste
- oil-2 tblsp
- red chilli powder-1 tsp
- fresh coconut grated-2 tblsp
- corriander leaves (finely chopped -2 to 3 tblsp
method
- mix besan flour with curd,salt,green chilles,ginger,turmeric powder and mix well to make a batter.
- add oil to eno 's fruit salt,pour over batter
- mix well ,grease plate,pour the batter.
- steam immediately like idlis in plate idlis for 10 to 15 minutes.
- season with jeera seeds,hing-a pinch.and 2 tblsp of water,pour on prepared pricked dhokla.
- cut into pieces.
- sprinkle chilli powder,corriander leaves.and freshly grated coconut
