China Grass Halwa


  1. china grass pieces-1 cup
  2. water-3 cups
  3. sugar-1 cup
  4. ellakki (cardamom )powder-1/2 tsp
  5. ghee-1 tblsp
  6. drakshi(raisins)-1 tblsp
  7. godambi(cashew nut)-1 tblsp


soak china grass in a boiled water(1 cup) for 1/2 an hour

  1. boil water in a thick bottomed kadai add china grass
  2. boil for 10 to 15 mins add sugar,ellakki powder,boil
  3. add drakshi,godambi fried in ghee
  4. when done spread on a greased plate
  5. let it cool
  6. cut into cubes
