Carrot Nuts Cake
ingredient
- maida-1 1/2 cup
- baking powder-1 1/2 tsp
- salt-a pinch
- butter-3 oz or 1/4 cup
- powdered sugar-1/2 cup
- eggs-2
- milk-1/4 cup
- grated carrot-1/2 cup
- chopped walnuts-1/4 cup
- chopped almonds-1/4 cup
- chopped glace cherries-1/4 cup
method
- sift together maida,baking powder,salt,
- beat together butter and sugar until creamy,add the eggs,1 at a time,beating well after each addition
- add maida mix alternately with the milk ,beating all the time.
- add the carrots,walnuts,almonds,and cherries,
- beat with a wooden spoon until thoroughly mixed
- pour into a buttered cake tin,spread evenly,and bake in a moderate oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until done when tested
- leave in tin for 5 minutes and then carefully turn out.
