Cabbage Kheer


  1. cabbage grated-1 cup
  2. ghee -1 tblsp
  3. milk-6 cups
  4. sugar-1/2 cup
  5. khova-1/2 cup
  6. kesari-1 pinch
  7. ellakki (cardamom )-powder-2 tsp
  8. cashew nut -1 tblsp(ground to paste)


  1. in a thick bottomed kadai heat ghee add cabbage fry for a while
  2. add milk ,boil till cabbage becomes soft on low flame(milk can be added more if necessary)
  3. add sugar,kesari boil well.
  4. add khova and ellakki powder finally boil for 2 mins at this stage add ground cashew nut paste
  5. chill and serve
