Bread Vegetable Bonda


  1. bread-1 loaf
  2. refined oil-for frying

for the filling

  1. boiled aloo-1 cup
  2. cooked peas-1/2 cup
  3. finely chopped and cooked -beans,carrot,-1/2 cup
  4. capsicum-1/4 cup
  5. finely chopped onions-1/2 cup
  6. green chilles-2 to 3
  7. ginger grated-1 tsp
  8. red chilli powder-1 tsp
  9. garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
  10. turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
  11. finely chopped curry and corriander leaves-1 tblsp
  12. lemon juice-1 tblsp
  13. salt and sugar to taste


  1. heat little oil in a kadai,fry finely chopped greenchilles,onions,ginger fry for a while
  2. add capsicum,other vegetables,aloo mashed,fry till moisture is absorbed.
  3. add all the masala powders,salt and sugar,fry for a while
  4. add lemon juice ,curry and corriander leaves .mix well remove from fire cool the palya(filling)

to make bonda

  1. trim the outer crusts from bread slices
  2. take water in a bowl
  3. take a bread slice,and dip it quickly in water and press in between palms to remove excess water(keep flat in palms)
  4. keep a tablespoon of filling inside,close with wet hand carefully to a ball or oblong roll,
  5. make all the balls .
  6. deep fry in hot oil few at a time till crisp and brown.
