Bread Vegetable Bonda
ingredients
- bread-1 loaf
- refined oil-for frying
for the filling
- boiled aloo-1 cup
- cooked peas-1/2 cup
- finely chopped and cooked -beans,carrot,-1/2 cup
- capsicum-1/4 cup
- finely chopped onions-1/2 cup
- green chilles-2 to 3
- ginger grated-1 tsp
- red chilli powder-1 tsp
- garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
- turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
- finely chopped curry and corriander leaves-1 tblsp
- lemon juice-1 tblsp
- salt and sugar to taste
method
- heat little oil in a kadai,fry finely chopped greenchilles,onions,ginger fry for a while
- add capsicum,other vegetables,aloo mashed,fry till moisture is absorbed.
- add all the masala powders,salt and sugar,fry for a while
- add lemon juice ,curry and corriander leaves .mix well remove from fire cool the palya(filling)
to make bonda
- trim the outer crusts from bread slices
- take water in a bowl
- take a bread slice,and dip it quickly in water and press in between palms to remove excess water(keep flat in palms)
- keep a tablespoon of filling inside,close with wet hand carefully to a ball or oblong roll,
- make all the balls .
- deep fry in hot oil few at a time till crisp and brown.
