black forest cake
INGREDIENTS
- maida-200gms
- powdered sugar-180 gms
- salt-a pinch
- egg-6
- baking powder-1 tsp
- cocoa powder-2 tblsp
- vanilla essence-1/2 tsp
- corn flour-2 tblsp
- chocolate essence-few drops
- milk as required
METHOD
- separate egg white and yolk.
- beat the egg white gradually adding sugar little by little.,beat till stiff.
- add yolk at one strech and fold well.
- add sieved maida,baking powder,cocoa,cornflour,salt,cocoa powder with essence,beatig all the time.
- pour the batter to a greased and dusted tin.
- bake at 180*c for 30 minutes in pre heated oven.
DECORATION
- whip 200gms fresh cream with 4 tblsp icing sugar on ice cubes till thick,fresh or tinned cherry (seperate juice and fruits,remove the seeds)few,grated chocolate(bar) 1/2 cup,mixed fruit jam(loosen the jam) 4 tblsp.
SUGAR SYRUP
- sugar-1/4 cup,water-1/4 cup boil together,-cool,add rum 2 to 4 tblsp or to the tinned syrup,add the rum.
FINALE
- cut the cake into 2 or 4
- soak bottom pricked cake with syrup.(4 to 6 tblsp)
- rest for 5 minutes
- spread some cream and cherries.
- spread jam to the other half cake reverse part.(back part)
- place on the cake.sprinkle syrup on pricked cake,spread cream,and cherries.
- decorate with chocolate gratings
- keep in the fridge for 2 hours and then use.
