Badam Keasar Burfi


  1. kadale hittu(besan)-1 cup
  2. fresh grated coconut-1 cup
  3. maida-1/2 cup
  4. badam-godambi powder-1 cup
  5. sugar-2 cup
  6. ghee-1 cup
  7. kesari-1 tsp
  8. milk-1/2 cup
  9. ellakki powder(cardamom)-1 tsp


  1. heat 2 tblsps of ghee in a heavy kadai add maida and besan fry constantly till good smell comes,
  2. remove from fire and transfer that on to a plate .
  3. add together milk,sugar,water in the same heavy bottomed kadai,cook till one string consistency is reached.
    1. add maida and besan mixture and coconut,badam-godambi powder,ghee ,kesar.
  4. keep on stirring till the mixture becomes thick,add ellakki powder
    1. stirr till the mixture is done (reaches the ball stage)
  5. pour on a greased tray or plate
    1. allow to cool for a while and cut into pieces when the mixture is still warm
