Avallaki Ambodae


  1. thin paper avallakki-1 cup
  2. finely chopped onions-1/2 cup
  3. finely cut green chilles -6 to 7
  4. turmeric powder-a little
  5. hing-a pinch
  6. curry and corriander leaves -few(finely chopped)
  7. ginger grated-1/2 tsp
  8. salt to taste
  9. rice powder-just enough to hold (if needed)

oil-enough to deep fry


  1. wash avallaki,and drain water completly with hands
  2. mix with all other ingredients to form a stiff dough
  3. make lemon sized balls,flatten on a greased plastic sheet and deep fry in hot oil till crisp and brown.remove on a colander
  4. 8 to 10 ambodaes can be fried at a time
