Avalakkibisibelebath

Ingredients

  1. hesaru belle-1 cup
  2. avalakki-2 to 3 cups
  3. huli pudi or bisibelle bath pudi-1 tblsp
  4. vegetables-carrot,beans,peas,onion ,cabbage.
  5. tomato-1
  6. kadale kayi bija-1 tblsp
  7. tamarind paste-1 tsp
  8. kobbari-2 tblsp
  9. haldi-1/2 tsp

seasonings

  1. oil- 2 tblsp
  2. sasivae- 1 tsp
  3. jeera-1tsp
  4. hing- 1/2 tsp
  5. curry leaves-few
  6. red chilles-2

Method

  1. boil hesaru belle adding little water and a pinch of haldi in pressure cooker
  2. boil vegetables also in cooker in a separate container
  3. in a kadai heat oil add seasoning one by one,when its stop spluttering, add boiled belle,add vegetables mix well
  4. add huli pudi ,tamarind paste mix well
  5. and also add kobbari ,salt , sugar-mix well
  6. finally add avalakki ,just mix it for 2 mins turn off the gas(stove)

note

no need to soak avalakki in water
