Avalakki Halbhai
ingredients
- gatti avalakki(thick vareity)-1 cup
- fresh grated coconut-2 cups
- bella(jagerry)-2 cups
- ghee- 2 tblsp
- ellaki powder-1 tsp
- jaikai powder-1 pinch
- kesari strands-few
- drakshi and godambi-fried in ghee
method
- soak avalakki in water for 1 hour,drain water
- grind avalakki along with coconut to a smooth paste
- add bella,ground paste,ghee in a heavy bottombed kadai
- keep on stirring till you get halwa cosistency.
- add ellaki,jaikai powder,fried drakshi,godambi
- pour on a greased plate
- cool and cut into pieces
