Akki rotti
Ingredients
- akki hittu(rice powder)-2 cups
- coconut-1/2 cup
- jeerigae-1 tblsp
- onion finely cut-1/2 cup
- (optional-finely cut vegetables,soppusigae soppu, mentya soppu,grated carrot or mulangi)
- white til (ellu)-1/2 tsp
- curry leaves,corriander leaves,-few
- salt to taste
- green chilles-2 finely cut
method
- mix all the ingredients with water knead to a soft dough.
- grease tava,spread hittu on the tava as thin as possible.
- make holes here & there put little oil on the holes and around rotti
- keep on the gas.close the lid fry in medium flame
- when rotti becomes crisp carefully take it from the pan
- do not turn over
- serve with chutney
note
wash the pan from back side under flowing water before making next rotti
