7 Cup Burfi


  1. kadale hittu(besan)-1 cup
  2. fresh grated coconut-1 cup
  3. pure ghee-1 cup
  4. milk-1 cup
  5. powdered badam,godami(cashew nuts)-1 cup
  6. sugar-2 cup
  7. kesari-1 tsp

ellakki powder-1 tsp


  1. mix all the ingredients except ellakki powder in a heavy kadai.
  2. add ellakki powder at the end of the proces
  3. keep stirring ,till it leaves the sides of the kadai(soft ball consistency is reached)
  4. remove from fire,and pour over a greased tray or plate.
  5. cut into pieces after two minutes when it is still warm
